Felicitation of Professor Sourav Chatterjee on 07 August 2023 at 4.15 PM

ABSTRACT: I will talk about one of my recent works, where I introduced a new coefficient of correlation. This new coefficient is able to capture all kinds of functional relationships between x and y, which is a property shared by no other coefficient in the literature. For example, the commonly used Pearson correlation only captures linear relationships, and the Spearman coefficient only captures monotone relationships.
